My own unfortunate choice: room with a one-person-bed: the bed is located in a corner (wall on one side, small bedside table on the other side) -> can’t move bed away from the wall -> woke up several times because of hitting my elbow against the wall.
The pillow is plush and large, nice, however, in combination with a standard short bed, it’s taking away valuable space one the other end of the bed as the pillow occupies quite some space above your head. In combination with a typical German short duvet (not long enough to put it under the mattress at your feet -> feet dangling out of the bed (due to the combination of large pillow and short bed) and cold (due to the combination of large pillow and short duvet)

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the food was very good
Lovely setting and quiet, breakfast was excellent with a choice of hot and cold options .
6 of us on a motorbike tour to Norway stayed on the way back to relax simply because we stayed there on the way to Norway and loved the place, especially the waitress who surved us in the restaurant on both occasions very helpful with advice on food and wine

There were no bath towels in the room, only hand towels. We asked the reception and we were told they are standard towels. At the check out I asked again and was told there should have been 2 hand towels and two bath towels. There were no bath towels. There were too many stairs to get to the room. We asked for other room with less stairs but there were no rooms available

great location for travelling through Germany from the UK on our way to Denmark. Very quiet, excellent food in the restaurant (good vegetarian choices) and really good breakfast. Traditional German style hotel. Super helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable beds.
Decor is a little dated, but this didn’t affect the comfort or quality of our stay.
