Location and decorations
No fridge, no coffee , no breakfast , no houseshoes, and a very noisy old bed . For that price, it is very disappointing! The geese are very loud. Obviously the windows are not properly sealed. Inconvenient to get food, the restaurant doesnt offer proper meal .

We love the room with its high ceiling and the big & modern toilet
When we arrived we found out that room 406 was on the 4th floor with no lifts. My German friend told them that I had a procedure on my heart just 2 weeks ago and that the cardiologist advised me not to climb too many steps. He requested for a change of room to a lower floor but we did not get it. There were over 40 steps to get to the 4th floor and I had to rest each time after a few steps. The other thing that disappointed us was that there was no kettle or coffee or tea provided. This is very unusual for a 4 star hotel. Even 3 star hotels provide them. When I tried calling the reception, no one picked up the phone The next thing is no Wi-Fi details were provided. We were only given the room key with nothing else. Since I couldnt get the reception, I called the restaurant. The person who answered just mentioned the password. When we tried the different combinations it didnt work. My husband then went to the restaurant and got them to write the password. It had capital & small letters as well as a number Such details are normally provided at check-in or there is a folder in the room The next day we went out at 8am and only returned at 9pm. We were shocked when we saw the tag still hanging at the door asking for the room to be cleaned. The room was not not cleaned at all. Again no one answered the phone at the reception. Called the restaurant and told them the room was not cleaned and that we needed clean towels. A lady came up & apologised. She said she will clean the room. I told her it is already late and we are tired. I just needed the clean towels Looks like they forgot there are guests staying on the 4th floor Our German friend felt very bad cos he was the one who recommended the hotel. He asked me whether I wanted to change hotel. I told him we like the room and the bathroom and that we will just stay on for the 2 nights. Overall we were terribly disappointed with the poor service especially for a 4 star hotel

Very spacious, the bathroom was phenomenal. It was a bit dusty though. Checkin and checkout was easy.
A fridge would have been nice inside a 144 room.

Beautiful Hotel near a Golf court. Nice and very friendly service in the restaurant. Charming room with high ceiling and a very modern bathroom. Very nice furniture matching the old and charming house.
The breakfast is very simple and rather expensive - 13.50 Euros. It would be easy to pimp it up a bit but I have to say the service was also very nice. Very friendly, fast and charming.

Location is amazing , by park on a golf course. Authentic old style German hotel, not a modern hotel, for a one day business trip or 1 night stay over it is fine. Breakfast is simple but ok. easy stroll into the old town and shops. Restaurant menu short but covers the bases and food is very good quality
first room I checked into hadn't been cleaned but an honest mistake quickly rectified. If you are looking for a gym and facilities this is not the hotel for you

Good location (if you have your own car). Breakfast was ok. Big rooms, very quiet surroundings and in the hotel as well Spacious bathroom.
almost all old buildings have this very specific smell because of the lack of good ventilation. That was the most annoying thing in this hotel. So I was forced to open window for the whole night to get fresh air The staff (the young lady at reception) was really useless - she doesn't speak English. And she couldn't help to find an open restaurant in the village. The only thing she advised was a snack-bar, which was actually closed at that time. And that was on Friday night!!!!! Also, that girl gave us the wrong room (the single instead of double one), So I should walk with luggage to the wrong location and then back. Very good service Luckily, we have Google and Trip Advisor for the diner, which we have found withing 5 min walking.
