When we were at the StayCity, it was a little warmer than expected. The ApartHotel had not yet shifted away from winter weather, so the rooms were much warmer than was comfortable.

We had a hard time finding hotels that would accommodate our family of four and ended up at StayCity. The room was ready for us when we checked in with the beds turned turn from the sofa. My girls thought it was super fun! It was clean and the staff was very friendly! We tried the breakfast buffet and definitely recommend!
The hallways smelled smoky which was off putting but the rooms didn’t smell bad.

Very new and clean，space enough for two people, you can take tram A or D directly from train station to the place, fully equiped with everything you need for daily life. A couple of mins walking distance from the Cathedral. Will choose this place again if come back here.
Can be a little bit noise because of the tram but can be fix by ears plug.

The check-in process was fast and easy. No problem with the language difference; the desk person spoke English. The room was clean and in good shape. The two-bedroom suite was a good size. The buffet breakfast was good; if we had checked it out the first morning, we would have eaten there each morning.

It was OK for the price. The bed was comfy.
The staff was overwhelmed, handling the easiest questions, they didn’t know much about Heidelberg. I just wanted to know if you can see the castle ruins from the old town and if you can walk up there from the old town, they had to consult about two other colleagues and still the information was mediocre.
The room wasn’t as clean as I would expect, it was below standard in some cases, there were several stains on several of the furniture.
I was also asking for a quiet room - upon arrival there was enough rooms vacant, and still I ended up with a room facing the street

The rooms were warm all the six days there. It was ambient heat in the rooms which could not be corrected or resolved.

Air conditioner is on a timer, can't turn on, and can't open the window all the way to let cool air in. Was hot in the room. They should tell you this. Nobody answers the phone. Not great location. Weird lighting. All on a main switch.

The kitchen truly has everything you need to cook dinner or breakfast and there's a wonderful bio grocery store just a few minutes walk away. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom and separate toilet fantastic. The best part was the amazing hotel staff. There is nothing they won't do for you. This is the first time we've stayed at a Staycity Aparthotels and we will plan to look for them in other locations now. They had secure locations for storing our bicycles while we explored Heidelberg for 3 days. Excellent location by the train station and there's a bus and tram stop at the end of their property for easy access to the Altstaldt.
Absolutely nothing to fault the hotel on. It was perfect.

We were very late to check in, but no problem. Reception is good and advises us how to park a car when it is fully packed. They also gave us a free upgrade with a living room. Very clean with hot water. You have to pay extra 18 Eu per person for food.
The parking was full when I was there; the street parking (near B&B hotel, they said it is their partinership) is free but also full. I managed to park near the entrance without block anything, no problem.

Awesome room. It's one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at.
Parking was an absolute nightmare.
The listing claims that they have paid parking on premise.
However, the day of our stay it was full and we were forced to drive around the neighborhood for 15 minutes looking for street parking.
In my opinion this is unacceptable. Guests arrive tired and expect services that are advertised.
We specifically filtered for hotels offering parking to avoid hassles like this.
