The hotel gave the impression it was in Heidelberg, but it's outside the town limit. However there is a good bus service from outside the hotel to the centre of the town.

All areas of the hotel were clean.
Reception desk was friendly and helpful.
The hotel needs renovation, at least the wing with our room, it had big signs of overuse.
You should speak English as a guest, many of the staff have no German.
The staff of the restaurant and bar did their very best, but obviously did not receive much teaching about how to do their job properly.
There was not enough staff for the breakfast service on a Saturday morning, wich lead to much discontentment.
