This hotel has a great location. We stayed in Heidelberg for two nights and never once needed to use our rental car. Parking was conveniently located steps from the Hotel. The Hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was excellent with choices for everyone.

Location!! I was there with my spouse and our two little kids and location was perfect for the Christmas markets. It is literally on the main thoroughfare that connect all the main Christmas markets in this part of the City.
Only two good pillows in my room. The other two bad pillows were pretty much folded up sweatshirts in a pillowcase. They did have on-site breakfast that we passed on, solely due to the high cost (15 Euro per adults and 10 per kid).

Management has reacted to a minor problem promptly and to my satisfaction. The location in the heart of Heidelberg's Altstadt couldn't be more convenient. The hotel is a little 'old fashioned' - no frills, which I actually like. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and lovely wooden floors. Mine had a balcony overlooking Kornmarkt. On a lush summer evening it would be bliss to sit down with a night cap (drink, I mean). Spot clean! However, It is sad to hear that it will close soon and who knows what will come in its place.
Maybe the managers German grumpiness....

the location, the cleanliness of the room.
The staff at check-out was quite rude: no one warned me that payment had to be made only by card. It seemed like he was doing me a favor by accepting my cash. the price of the room is justifiable only for the location otherwise for what it offers it is quite exaggerated
