Wunderschön gestaltetes Haus, sehr sauber, sehr nette Mitarbeiter und tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Die Lage war auch wirklich toll für einen Städtetrip.

Room facilities were very good and I could say it was good value for money
I can’t say there was anything bad about the hotel besides that one morning breakfast was very crowded and the staff were not able to handle the high demand. The chef, which you were supposed to order your eggs from, was so overwhelmed that he refused to even make any eye contact with you, therefore it was not possible to order eggs. Though I believe this was a one off incident and it would not be a reason to not recommend this hotel.

Very cozy hotel in a good location. We travelled for work and I would recommend.
Nothing to mark especially. Have in mind that while location is good and very close to the famous Opera building, it is further away from the most lively and restaurant streets. Still a "short" walk to it.

Hotel called me at 11 pm that they had overbooked the hotel and that they didn't have a room for me that night anymore. In their defense, they found me a replacement accommodation (Fraser Suites + complimentary breakfast) and apologized for the inconvenience. Never experienced anything like it really.

Disappointing
Lovely bed and pillows.
No sleep first night as bathroom light on mirror did not turn off on main switch and night reception did not know how to turn it off. Reflection on doors lit up the room as no bathroom door. Just horrible . Later management showed us HIDDEN SWITCH. no sign to let us know. Also room only looked o to inner ugly courtyard. Bad value for so much money.

Very comfortable, quiet room. No bath tub but nice shower stall, separate toilet stall. Breakfast buffet excellent. Location great -- 10 minute walk to Elbphilharmonie or Rathaus quarter. U_ and S-Bahn as well.
Lighting controls were electronic buttons and a difficult to learn to use. Coffee from automat was weak at breakfast.

The Nikolai was in a great location, the customer service was excellent and the breakfast was really wonderful. We only stayed one night but it was perfect and we would have loved to stay longer.
As two friends traveling together, the bathroom and shower being separated was a little interesting as there is not really any privacy or anywhere to change other than the shower or toilet room. Other than that, it was a really wonderful stay.

I received a very warm welcome when I checked in with Romulus Anapurus. My room was a sanctuary, cozy, clean and had everything I needed plus a great view. The buffet breakfast (€29) has a nice selection of hot/cold items. This hotel was absolutely wonderful and deserves it Excellent rating.
It was a bit hard to find as I was expecting a grand entrance or what the hotel looks like in the picture however at street level it is only a small doorway but it does open up to a beautiful lobby once you enter. Don’t be fooled by the street side underwhelming entrance, you will not be disappointed once you enter.

Connecting the TV with your smartphone was not possible. Apparently it is a "known" problem in a few rooms; a solution unfortunately could not be offered...

Location and quiet street.
Was assigned a wheelchair accessible room without discussion by the front desk staff. Did not need the special accommodation and found the bathroom especially inconvenient to use.

The main reason for choosing this hotel was the location between the city centre and Miniatur Wunderland. We had a nice room, liked the bar and had a good breakfast.
It was still very cold in Hamburg, but that has nothing to do with the hotel...

Very spacious,clean and comfortable, modern and stylish,great location,super bonus bathtub in the middle of the room! If only I will have chance to come back to Hamburg my choice will be this hotel.
