I wasn't sure if I could make it to the hotel so I transferred my booking to my friend. The staff helped me throughout the way and made the booking transfer as seamless and riskfree as possible. Very helpful staffs.

Exceptionally nice personell, very pretty ambiance, food [especially the breakfast] was extraordinary
Only complaint would be that the toilet is unreasonably loud, both the button and the flush.

Wonderful
Unfortunately our stay started with us not being able to check in until two hours after official check in time. Very uncomfortable because my partner had to take meetings over this tiny office cabin on the first floor without AC. There wasn’t anything the front desk could do about the price because we booked via booking.com. But he was kind enough to book us breakfast and gave us a drink voucher. Apart from that we only met lovely employees, the property is gorgeous, as is the sauna, although very small. I’d recommend putting educational sauna rules on display because people came in with wet swimsuits and sat down without towels. Breakfast was great and the bar downstairs a real highlight!
As mentioned above being let into the room two hours late without a discount is just not a great start in a stay. And the sauna rules for people not understanding hygiene of keeping the wood dry would be doing them a favor in the long run

Wonderful
The location is great, very central, nice area. Good breakfast. Nice, spacious room. We stayed with our toddler daughter and they have prepped some snacks and a plushie when we arrived.
The problem was that they didn’t clean the room. We left our room around 8.30 in the morning and when we came back at 17.00 the room wasn’t cleaned. The cleaning staff came around 17.30 when we were resting after a long and exciting day, so we weren’t eager to leave and wait until they clean. The front desk staff didn’t think that it was an issue and we didn’t really get an apology either. It’s a 5 star hotel and daily cleaning is expected especially when we have a toddler with diapers and sand everywhere. So this situation and the attitude of the staff kinda ruined the very good impression we had. Also hotel doesn’t have their own parking and the closest parking house costs 50 eur per night, street parking is just as expensive.

Wonderful
The hotel is nicely located. Close to public transport so it's easy to get around Hamburg in Bus or Metro. The pool is nice.
The price of the parking went up between the time we booked our reservation and the time we arrived (+10€ per night). It would have been nice to have the same price we had initially seen when we booked.
