The hotel is located in the city center, but there is a valet service so it's easy to park your car for EUR 49/day. The hotel itself is very clean, big rooms with high ceilings, spacious, well equipped and nicely decorated (art deco style) bathrooms. Very nice and helpful staff, opulent breakfast. Adjacent shopping gallery in art deco style is a bonus. There are also few nice restaurants around the corner.
We were not told that with our 12-year old daughter we can use the pool only till 17:00, so we were turned back just from the entrance door. Pretty disappointing. For the first night we were fighting with the air-con as the room could don't cool down. The second night was much better.

Beautiful interior. Super restaurant,
I chose the hotel partly because it has a swimming pool. But the water is so cold. Why is that? Do you get only olympic swimmers? Really do not understand why a top-end hotel saves pennies on comforts like this. I do not want my breath sucked out as I step into the pool.

Great location. Beautifully refurbished and restored hotel with all the glamour of an art deco interior, with all the modern expectations. Pool is a decent 20 metres. Gym was really well appointed with lots of Technogym kit. Enough to do a decent workout.

Service, the spacious rooms, location, breakfast buffet and the restaurant.
A bit sad that we couldn’t enjoy the prepaid breakfast in the room. The room service menu was a bit boring and the à la carte breakfast options wasn’t tasty enough.

A Five-Star Hotel That Fails at Basic Hospitality I stayed at this hotel expecting a premium experience, but what I encountered over two days was a consistent breakdown in basic service standards. On my first evening, I returned from meetings and wanted to sit at the bar, only to be stopped by guards and told the space was closed due to a private event. Fair enough—but no alternative was offered to a paying guest. I was then directed to the cigar lounge, which I was later told was also closed. After escalating to concierge, I was finally allowed in—only to find it completely unattended. No staff, no service, no access to cigars, and no ability to even order a coffee. I waited 30 minutes and eventually left. Breakfast over the next two mornings was equally disappointing. A simple order—eggs on toast and English breakfast tea—took over 35 minutes to arrive. Despite clearly requesting no meat, bacon was added to the dish. Tea was repeatedly served without milk, requiring multiple follow-ups. On the second day, the exact same issues were repeated, including incorrect egg preparation and long delays. What is most concerning is not a single mistake, but the complete lack of consistency, communication, and attention to detail. Even basic guest preferences were not noted or remembered from one day to the next. This experience reflects a deeper operational issue: a disconnect between brand positioning and actual service delivery. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not return.

The staff were very friendly, the location very accessible in the city centre and the hotel had very good facilities. We loved the breakfast and quality of food, friendly staff the spa area. The room was sizable and all facilities were well taken care of and the room was well maintained.
The spa and pool were accessible via a separate elevator, which you needed to change from the main elevator. That meant you needed to cross the entire lobby to get to the spa from your room. Of course doable, but difficult to change due to the building layout. The spa area was for 16+ and intended without swimsuits, but the two times we visited, there were kids/teenagers with swimsuits. A bit more staff oversight would have been appreciated.
