Breakfast was very nice, the restaurant was good, the decor was very unusual.
There was only one chair in the deluxe double room - and not really an easy chair. A four star hotel should have at least two chairs in a double room!!!
When charging 25 euros for a dog, some doggy things should be provided (i.e. a bowl, a bed and/or a snack) - most other hotels we have visited in Germany do this!

We enjoyed the location of the hotel. It was really well situated for the U-Bahn/public transport to explore Hamburg. Our room was comfortable and had a nice little terrace too (though overlooking residential buildings). The breakfast buffet was really great - it had everything you would need.
The bed was comfortable, but the pillows weren't - it would be good to have better pillows and give option to have extras.
The bath/shower was functional but could really do with a non-slip matt inside as pretty easy to slip as the bath was used as the shower as well. The glass screen could also do with being a bit wider so you don't splash water everywhere.
We had dinner in the restaurant twice; the first night was good but the second which was on a Saturday was really not great. The waiters were clearly under pressure (and maybe the kitchen too), as it took forever to take our order and then even longer to get our food (more than 1 hour) - and the food was average at best though the price was pretty high. We used the restaurant due to the convenience of it, but if we had had more time, we would have gone somewhere else.
The hotel advertises parking, which they do have but there is a cost of Euros25 per night. This should be clearer to their guests. The parking was one of the reasons we chose to stay there.

The sauna was very good. All staff very friendly.
There were some beer bottle caps on the floor when we entered the room for the first time.
I thought the breakfast was a little limited with regard to variety of foods.

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, very quiet. You have a good selection for breakfast and the food at night at the restaurant was very good, too. Very kid-friendly and close to the metro station.

We stayed at this hotel in Hamburg for one night while passing through on our way to Italy, and it was a great experience. The hotel is located next to Hamburg’s famous zoo, with excellent access to the metro, making the location outstanding. The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. The hotel’s design was exceptional, with a beautiful forest and Africa-inspired theme using a lot of wood, which created a very pleasant atmosphere. The rooms were very clean, quiet, and well designed. Breakfast was excellent, varied, and well prepared. Even though our stay was short, we enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back soon and stay here for a longer time.
