It’s a very nice hotel, “classic” in the best sense of the word! I stayed here for 4 nights. I booked a standard single room but the hotel was so kind that they upgraded me to a comfort category. I had a little bit spacier room and with a lovely view. Breakfasts were delicious and took place in a stunning “green” XIX century room. My windows looked at the inner garden with big noble trees. It was truly wonderful seeing this scenery for a few mornings! In general, staff was very kind, caring and helpful. I strongly recommend Hotel Vorbach!

Clogged sink, only one pillow and wooded headboard so no sitting in the bed, room service would try to come in even after making clear that I was there and did not require room service, breakfast was more expensive than ordering anything in the city to the hotelroom using uber eats and it wasn't even in the same building as the room.

Charming, characterful hotel with many period features. Friendly staff on reception who indulged my schoolboy German. Good breakfast buffet with smoked salmon in addition to the usual cold meat and cheese options. Having booked a single room, I was upgraded to a much bigger one with plenty of space. Very convenient for the university (where I had a lecture engagement), near to Dammtor station with good access to S-Bahn and mainline trains, and a fairly easy 25-minute walk into the city centre.
Cost was a bit high for what it was at 150 euros a night, especially given that the (very nice) breakfast cost an additional 18 euros. Carpets were rather dowdy and threadbare, and while there was nothing exactly wrong with the bed, it was a bit less comfortable than I might expect at this kind of price point.
