Booked a single room and bed was much larger than advertised so I was very happy . Friendly and helpful staff and a very luxurious neighborhood. Close to the train station which made travel to and from Hamburg city easy.

Staying in this old palace Hotel Vorbach made me feel a little bit like old nobility. A very comfortable room with very high ceilings and a double door opening onto a huge balcony.

It is 2 minutes from the University of Hamburg and 10 minutes walking to the railway station Dammtor. The hotel is very near to the Alster. I very much recommend it and will surely be coming back!!
no AI......and this August it was very hot in Hamburg. However although the rooms had no air condition, it was not too hot because of the high ceilings etc of the rooms

Staff were really friendly and helpful, location was great for the price, rooms were very clean and a decent size.
The keys were a bit awkward to deal with (tho this might've just been my pair in particular.

But price aside, I don't have any big complaints, except the fact that the blinds were not enough obstructing of the light - it woke me up every day. The staff was very kind.

The hotel is located in one of Hamburg's most desirable and elegant neighborhoods. Two museums are in walking distance.
It would be nice to have a hot water boiler and some tea bags in the room.
