Great to be in the Portuguese side of town. Nice restaurants and cafes out the door. Close to train and subway. Walking distance to many places of interest. Older style small hotel with nice big bathroom.

Reception staff excellent-very helpful and friendly Charming lounge for relaxing and reading

Great location. Nice garden and lounge area. Initially welcomed with early check in but see the issue with the door below. Lovely and plentiful breakfast buffet although scrambled eggs and bacon were very “tired” by 9:15.
But room 109 has the most savage and difficult door handle mechanism of any hotel we’ve stayed in. So much so that we both hurt our hands on several occasions. The staff and cleaners know this as they confirmed their own difficulties with it! Then it stopped working altogether and had to have batteries changed at 10:15pm . The beds are superficially comfortable but incredibly hot and sweaty because of some plasticised lining and the pillows provide no head or neck support. There is no tea/coffee facility in the rooms and the offer downstairs doesn’t involve ordinary black tea ( breakfast blend). All this in a 3 star hotel costing €186 a night. Very poor value for money
