Excellent location, right in the middle of the city! The staff were helpful and friendly. Very safe and convenient underground parking - gets the car off one's hands and enables exploration on foot.

Central location, in a vibrant street with good selection of local restaurants and very near to the main train station. Our room was meticulously clean, comfortable & quiet. The breakfast choice & quality was excellent. Stayed 3 days, including on my birthday. Without mentioning this the hotel staff laid out a nicely decorated reserved breakfast table for my wife & I with a birthday card, a complimentary half bottle of prosecco & a card from Sabine, the manager. This was unexpected & much appreciated! Would definitely stay again at Hotel Senator if we visit Hamburg again in the future
Some room fixtures perhaps a little dated, but everything was in good working order. The hotel does not claim to be a 5 star business hotel & accommodation was perfect for our needs.

We've been in this hotel five times within 15 years, the hotel has great location, high quality breakfast and comfortable bed. The facilities have passed their best time - they are not so fresh but everything works well. Clearing have lower standard than before. Maybe we'll stay here next time.

The staff was fantastic, especially the bar lady. I had medicine with me that I needed to store in a fridge and they helped me out as well. We received complimentary drinks and in general people were super nice and helpful.
The bathroom was not great. There is hand/body/hair soap under shower which isn't very 4 stars of them. I don't tend to expect conditioners in 4 star hotel, but I do expect a separate shampoo. Plus it was loud, the tap didn't work properly and the water pressure under the shower was rather mediocre.

Location is quite good if you want to be close to the main railways station. Pretty much all that I can tell as positive.
You feel like this hotel was left here from the 1970s without much upgrade. The room was OKish clean but uncomfortable, that "water-bed" is a nightmare. The WiFI is useless. The bathroom was planned by someone never takes a shower. The staff was polite and unhelpful. Pretty much the worst hotel experience I had in Germany.
