The room is a good size by European standards. The hotel is very comfortable with a good selection of fresh food at breakfast. The staff at reception are all very nice and friendly. We were able to check in early which was a nice bonus at the beginning of our break.
I often travel as a solo female traveller. Although I was in a couple this time, I felt the hotel itself is very safe for solo female travellers but the locationof the hotel would make me feel uncomfortable and uneasy if I had to walk around the area alone. It is near the train station which is brilliant. The street is very quiet and hadn't any street lights at night. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the location for solo female travellers.

I‘ve stayed in +20 hotels in Hamburg including the famous ones - this is as close as it gets to my absolute comfort zone. Quiet, boutique, great decor, incredibly friendly staff, 5 mins walk to main station, great spa, great breakfast - and never sell-y or trying too hard. Absolute recommendation, I will never again go anywhere else in Hamburg.
Hawaii is far away.

Room was decent (comfortable bed and had everything required), breakfast was decent, staff were polite and helpful.
Nothing was really exceptional.. The room was fairly small, the breakfast selection was not huge and the computer systems were down when trying to check out (although payment and invoice was eventually arranged later by email and phone).

The only little issue is I booked a L suit with says comes with Kitchenette/microwave /sink. Ours didn’t and when I queried if I’d been booked into the wrong room, I was told not all L suits have these, I did say the booking details clearly state it comes with it but nowhere does it say that it is limited to a number of L suits and other L suits don’t have it. We’d booked that type of room specifically as competing in the Ironman and needed to be up very early to eat and prep nutrition for not only the day of event but before . The hotel put in a breakfast for those doing the event which was ok but didn’t actually meet my nutritional requirements but am still grateful they did something

The hotel is very conveniently located; just within the Kontorhaus district, close to tram stops and within reasonable walking distance of the harbour.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfasts were the best we experienced in 3 weeks of travelling; an ample choice of dishes and a wonderful, daily selection of the most delicious breads

Loved this boutique hotel. Such a fun retro vibe. The little cafe and bar with meal and snack options all day was an especially nice surprise. The rooms have so much charm. The staff was wonderful, very helpful with directions and suggestions. The breakfast was delicious with their own honey and breads.
There was a lot of construction going on nearby. Not their fault but made navigating the streets a little tricky. They wrote to us prior to our arrival to let us know so that was really considerate.

HENRI is somewhere between luxury hotel and boutique hotel. This is a very nice touch in a city visit. Staff is polite, professional, helpful and responsive. Location is quite convenient place for almost every purpose of stay
Their clean the room every second day of stay but make the bed and resupply the materials every day. Probably they make a thorough cleaning before a new customer. We stayed five nights and the fourth day we discovered dust builds up at deep corners. This is a negative point keeps them away from being excellent

Really friendly atmosphere, both in terms of atmosphere as well as staff. I felt very well during my entire stay.
Well, it would have been nice if the elevator would go all the way to street level. So I had to schlepp my suitcase up to the first floor - second floor for you Americans.
