Very helpful and polite staff at the desktop. Extremely clean and well furnished
The hotel itself is very good. We did not book breakfast, as we found it overpriced. However, despite its convenient location—close to the bus and train station and just a 25-minute walk from Rathaus Square—the area can feel a bit intimidating at times, with drunk and homeless people on the main road, especially later in the day. It’s a sad situation to witness.

Good location for the start of Hamburg Marathon
Room size not good it was very out dated The receptionist on the arrival wasn’t too friendly. The hotel was paid for but the lady said it wasn’t. My dad had to ring the hotel from the Uk and speak to her. She said in the end it was sorted. This morning when I left I was told it wasn’t paid by the man on reception. So another payment was taken at the moment there’s 2 pending payments. I did leave a message through the message section on Booking.com which goes straight to the hotel and they couldn’t be bothered to reply. I rang Booking.com and spoke with them the lady was very helpful so I’m keeping an eye on my bank account hoping only one payment will come out

A five minute walk to the closet subway station and about ten minutes to the main train station.
In my room I could hear water running whenever someone would flush the toilet. I wasn't sure if that was from above or beside me.

This is nothing to do with the hotel of course but walking from the station there was a lot of people shooting up and a lot of work on construction and footpaths which made it difficult to get there. I suggest if you use the hotel and come from the station dont walk down the most obvious straight route
