Great location, all amenities in great working order, immaculately clean, cozy
I don't know if it's the fault of Booking.com or of the hotel, but I really need to see an end to the fraudulent practice of taking two single beds, shoving them together and advertising it as a "king bed" online. It's a scam and not a comfortable option for couples. They're still two single beds and should be labeled as such.
Hotel staff was a bit rude about it too when asked about a connected mattress king bed, "why would you want that?", then saying it's only an option in deluxe rooms and none of those were available.

Poor communication about delayed bags arriving at the hotel. We nearly went to the airport but saw our bags in a room.

Disappointing
Location very good and good for walks
The two female receptionists have been very rude and not helpful.
We contacted the hotel before our stay to clarify the parking situation and the hotel answered with a detailed description how to park the two motorbikes in the public garage below the hotel. The description was wrong because motorbikes are not allowed in the public garage (and that was one criteria to chose the hotel). At the reception we tried to clarify the parking but both available ladies only answered that they cannot help and we need to find our own solution. The second one just finished the conversation with us once she brought her message forward.
Breakfast was very crowded and hardly a place to sit could be found.
Rooms weren’t very clean.

Disappointing
The location is great, and I’ll stop there because I believe that’s the main good point of this hotel.
Quite unfriendly staff (except for one lady who was extremely helpful). The room wasn’t ready at check-in time, even though they gave us the key. We only realized it was dirty when we entered. They left us standing in the corridor with our suitcases until the service staff arrived, in less than 10 minutes the room was “ready.” How can a proper cleaning take only 10 minutes? No apologies, nothing. They didn’t even offer us another room so we wouldn’t have to wait and end up with a poorly cleaned one.
We had tried to check in earlier at 14:45, since we arrived with our child a bit ahead of time, but they were quite rude and told us it was “not possible” to make exceptions. When we returned at 15:00, there was a huge line almost going outside the hotel. We finally got our keys at around 15:30, after waiting 30 minutes, and for what? To find a dirty room that was then cleaned in a rush.
Another negative note: the breakfast is overpriced for such a small and crowded space, with too many tables crammed into the room. Parking is also not included in the nightly rate.
In summary, the hotel’s only real advantage is its great location, but we will not comeback.

While a "chain", this place has a really great vibe. From the lobby to the staff and our rooms it didn't seem too 'big city'.
I will say that Jan, the bartender was the highlight of our stay. This guy could be a professional tour guide in Hamburg (and even had Berlin guidance!)
The bar was on point, decent snacks even into the late evening! The rooms well appointed and fun decor and clean. Easy to use all around.
The location was excellent for walking everywhere. We never used public transportation because it was so easy to walk everywhere.
Also go on a 2 hour "smaller boat" ride as soon as you can after you arrive to acclimate to sights!
Oh and the parking garage is below the hotel and is connected for easy in and out if you have a car!!
Our lil fridge didn't work. No one knew how to rectify this in either of the rooms we had booked. Besides that everything was really perfect!

Room was a good size, clean and presentable. The breakfast was first class.
Breakfast was included for us but not for our friends who booked it separately, They always eat breakfast elsewhere because it was very expensive - 24 euros a head!
In our room the tv was in a position that stuck out and could easily be knocked off the wall as you walk in the room.

The staff at the bar, tall gentleman in particular, extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful
WiFi in room did not work, so had to go downstairs to lobby to work. When I complained at reception, I was told there was another code but I needed a password which they gave me there and then. So If you know it doesn't work, why do you wait for customer rs to complain!?
