Great situation in Hafencity - we went to a concert at Elbephilamonie, which is a short walk from the hotel. Funky interior with great Vinyl room. The hotel is right across the street from the shopping mall with a wide range of shops/restaurants & cafes. Many of the restaurants, bars and cafes were situated on the harbour side righty the water. I imagine it’s very popular in good weather. Unfortunately it was raining and cold.
There was a no safe in the hotel room I stayed in. The general lighting throughout the hotel was low and particularly so in the room.

Relaxed, welcoming ambience and great music in the communal spaces. Staff were ace. The complimentary minibar was a nice touch. Great shower and comfy beds. Slept really well.
Our bunk room was small for two friends sharing, and there wasn’t much storage space.

The decor was delightful, definitely an excellent breather from bland hotel interior. The free minibar was such a pleasant surprise as other hotels don't ever do this exta "care". We slept very well. The Heimat restaurant was tastefully designed for a mood lit dinner, but not so pleasant for breakfast as it's way too dark. Breakfast was amazing though, with the freshly cooked as you order omelette, and the coffee! It's not a do it yourself from an industrial automatic coffee machine! The food selection was delicious! The location was perfect!

The location is excellent. The city centre and all major sightseeing attractions are within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and efficient.
The room was way too small considering the price we paid for it. There was no wardrobe, just a couple of small shelves to put our clothes. There was a problem with some small bugs we found in one of the beds due to neglected dirt under one of the mattresses. However, when we informed the staff, they reacted and cleaned accordingly. This spoiled our stay though.
