The location is incredibly good
They have hidden costs such as parking and theres a difference between private bath and private toilet. If your room has a private bath, you have to pay extra to get a private toilet.

The room was so small. Shared toilet was ok because there were not many guests. Wonder how it would be if it were busy.

Breakfast. Comfortable bed. Fairly close to station. Right at heart of beautiful historic centre. I had my own shower room (even though toilet was shared).8
Room rather cramped. And there was only one of me in a double room! Shower floor slippery (as in most hotels)

No frills guest house in the old town of Goslar. Comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast.
Frustrating check in experience! Regardless of the time of arrival, even before 6 pm, one must make a telephone call to get the code. It is the only option. Being a foreigner on roaming, phone calls are expensive for me. Even more expensive, when all I can get to is voice mail. By the time someone answered almost an hour later, I had already accumulated roamig costs close to 25% of the room rate. And to add insult to injury, when eventually they picked up the phone, they laughted at my grievance. That is correct - laughed! As if it were funny that I wasted the most important hour of my one-day visit to Goslar, waiting like a fool in the street in front of their door.

The location is excellent - just in the middle of the town. You can park a car at the hotel court. The hotel is clean, staff very friendly. A breakfast good.
The room was very tiny, so bed was narrow and positioned at the corner. Little space for your things. Shared toilet is at the corridor. Acceptable for staying overnight, not for a week holiday.

Exceptional
An excellent hotel for anyone wishing to visit the Hartz Steam railways. It is a 6 minute walk from the mainline station.The hotel is situated right opposite the steam depot so photography is exceptional first thing in the morning and in the late evening when locomotives are on shed. There is a great choice of food on the restaurant menu and your drinks are delivered to the tables by the windows by a G scale locomotive and wagons. Make sure you book early though as they are very popular. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the town centre about a 10 minute walk away. An all round great place to visit.
