The rooms are super nice and spacious and everything is super clean. The bathrooms are also quite spacious with lots of space to put all your hair/makeup etc if you need to. I also like that there is a coffee machine in the room with which you can also make tea as it’s always nice to get a hot drink as soon as you wake up. The location is also ideal, close to everything you might need to do in Essen.
I did try to order room service one time as I was getting ready and in a bit of a rush, and when I called reception more than an hour later to find out when it would be arriving, the person who picked up was not really friendly nor helpful. She said “I’m gonna ask my colleague” and hung up on me. 20 minutes later and still no news, I had to leave and therefore had to call again to cancel. Again the person who I had on the phone was not nice at all. I was surprised and disappointed because every person I met from the staff so far during both my stays had been lovely and helpful.
Also good to note there is unfortunately no mini fridge in the rooms which is a little annoying if like myself you like to stock up on water etc for your stay and you like to drink it nice and cold!

I liked the staff who were incredible friendly, the breakfast, the quietness of my room. The cleanliness and the comfy bed. They have sky (paid tv).
Location is nice as well. I could walk to everywhere and the tram goes straight to the central station, in case one have a lot of luggage
Netflix would be great to have or some English speaking channels

Comfortable and smooth stay. Modern fresh interior. Walking distance to center.
More and more 4* hotels cutting back on minibar/fridge to safe on energy bill. I understand but i do not like it.
There are some junkies walking around during the night but they look harmless.

Located along a busy road but you hardly hear the noise.
Managed to check-in before 12:00 noon which was a plus.
Breakfast paid extra and happy that i did, it was a nice one.
Front desk staffs are friendly.
Will be back.
Some of the breakfast associates were plain. Said ‘thank you’ but there was no respond.

The room was quite good and comfortable.
The service was very disappointing. The staff at check-in were unfriendly and unwelcoming. There was no warmth, no clear communication, and it felt as if helping guests was a burden rather than their job.
Unfortunately, the experience during breakfast was similar. The staff seemed inattentive and indifferent, with little effort to provide proper service or create a pleasant atmosphere. It made what should have been a relaxing start to the day feel uncomfortable.
Overall, while the hotel’s facilities are good, the poor attitude and lack of professionalism from the staff significantly affected the experience. I hope management takes this seriously and works on improving customer service.

The location wasn't very good. The bathroom supplies weren't enough and no Iron and ironing board readily available.
