Nice location, next to Essen hbf station. Comfortable, clean, great breakfast, food (it was a conference lunch) was outstanding.

One of the most confortable beds and a ver good bathroom and shower. It was a perfect place to rest after walking around. Also, the proximity to the Essen HbF makes a lot of things easier.

The staff was nice and friendly. In particular, the receptionist Nicola showed high customer service skills and even exceeded expectations. The guy deserve a salary raise: big part of my high scores are thanks to him.
Not sure if it was a problem of my room only, but the hairdryer would turn off automatically every 40 seconds or so. Really annoying, especially for someone having long hair.
Internet wasn't working at all for the entire stay (4 nights) and I believe this type of level hotel should always have an alternative for guests (their staff had Internet, of course). Nicola,the receptionist in duty for the afternoon and evening shift, helped like he could and he always set up proper and realistic expectations, but the resolution of the problem was not on him, clearly. But it's only thanks to his service and support that I didn't rate my stay lower because of these issues.

Very spacious, comfotable and clean. Pillows were good.
The mobile network was weak there on the day I arrived. Something not only in the hotel building.
