Good proximity, nice room and nice and helpful staff.
I was quite irritated by the church bell ringing every hour and in the morning even quartet to the hour.
Also paper thin walls, had a neighbor who snored, woke up and thought he/she was right next to me, that's how loud it was.

The hotel was warm and cosy. The shower was large and powerful, which I love.
The staff were all pleasant and spoke very good English,
There was no tea or kettle in the room, which i very disappointed about.

The breakfast is OK. They have a lot of vegan options. The location is directly next to the Christmas Market in Essen. The parking is next to the hotel and costs 18e per 24h. Rooms are well maintained. To find the parking you have to look for Centralgarage Kennedyplatz and enter the underground tunnel on the road.
Sunday is super busy, especially during breakfast. There is no food in the bar, but there are enough restaurant nearby
