The hotel offers really good value for money. The rooms seem brand new, were extremely clean, and the quality of the linen and bed was excellent. Having free, secure parking was also a major plus, and I really liked the convenient self-check-in process
The location is on top of a shopping area—not the most scenic part of Essen, but very practical if you need anything. Because the price is so low, it attracts a very mixed, down-to-earth crowd. If you are looking for a high-end or exclusive atmosphere, it might not be your style, but we had zero issues and a really nice time

Room was nice and comfortable, good cleanly and good location for food and supermarket.
TV at a bad angle. Due to the place being unstaffed I was absolutely terrified of locking my phone in the room or the app not working. Online check-in was also a bit worrying, as wasn't sure if it was done right. Also who would I complain to about anti social behaviour.
Also some vending machines would have been a good idea.
