Staff doesn’t speak any English, they couldn’t find our booking for 15 minutes. There was no wifi in our room at all, not even a slow one. Elevator is not working.

It is a cheap place to stay and the staff are normally quite helpful. There is normally always one or two things wrong with the room whenever I have stayed like desk is wobbly, no chair for the desk. But it is cheap and you have to take that into account.
At about 7pm I heard the noise of drilling and hammering. I assumed it was from outside the hotel but then I realised it was inside the hotel. I went to speak to the receptionist and she said that there was work being done inside the hotel but it was now finished. I went to bed early as I was tired and was woken up at 10pm by the noise of drilling and hammering. I left my room to try and find what was causing the noise and found that it was coming from a room on the same floor I was on. The 4th floor. When I went inside the room I found two workmen who were completely renovating the whole room. I asked them to stop and they said they had been told to do this work by the receptionist. We went down to talk to the receptionist. She spoke to them in German and then one of them went upstairs and came down with a large tool box which looked like it contained a drill. He gave it to the receptionist and she went outside with it and put it in her car. Then she went upstairs to lock the room where the work was being done. I could not believe it. This particular receptionist deliberately lied to me that the work was now finished at 7pm and told them to continue the work. Why were they carrying out renovation to the room at 7pm until 10pm during the evening/night. This is something that should be done during the day and shows complete and total disrespect and contempt for the customers by carrying it out during the evening/night. As a result customers like me had paid money for a room that they could not enjoy because this receptionist had ordered work to be carried out at a time that the customers were about to get ready for bed. Also, the receptionist deliberately lied to me, treating me like I was a fool. As I mentioned the staff there are normally polite and respectful. I hope the manager of this hotel reads this review and ensures that this particular receptionist never works at this hotel ever again!

It would be nice to open the cafeteria throughout the day and night and could be a good resting, reading and social place. That is the only downside of the place. Staff struggle with English. Google translation is an option
They shut the cafeteria after breakfast. It would be nice to stay open always
