The room I stayed in was completely fine for a short 2–3 day stay. It had a bit of a strange smell at first, but that went away after airing it out. The bathroom is small but reasonably clean. The beds were comfortable and clean, which was a plus.
I wouldn't really call this a hotel—it's more like a building with a bunch of rooms for rent. There's no elevator, and the reception operates only for a short time, so you have to call to arrange key pickup.
Overall, it's a decent place if you're just looking for a basic place to sleep, but don't expect full hotel services.

Poor maintenance. Dust. Kichen not clean enough. Furniture damaged. No shops around. Dark area.

Good value for money. The room was clean and comfortable. Area was quiet and felt safe.
It smelled a bit of old smoke. Bearable for us but maybe not for everyone.

Very spacious, nice clean room. Quiet area, good internet. Kettle to warm up water. Friendly reception
A bit in northern suburbs of Essen, can be reached by tram. The northern suburbs of Essen have a bad reputation but I found it o.k.

The room was clean and the hotel location makes it easy to access several public transport options. Though it's street parking, finding a place to park wasn't a problem. It was a good bargain.
I wished there was option to request for a child high stool for feeding the child.

the room was really clean and employee is very friendly. I asked for do you know any a place where I can get photocopies and they let me use theirs. Rooms was really clean and big.
