I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is nice, well‑maintained, and conveniently located. Parking is available on-site (for a fee), which was practical. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety, and the hotel’s own restaurant and bar provided comfortable spaces to eat, drink, and relax. Overall, it’s a solid place to stay and easy to recommend.

Wonderful
The pool and spa were wonderful. We had the place to ourselves and it was a great way to start the day. I also loved the location. It was right next to a beautiful forest, close to my client and easy to travel in and out of the centre of Essen.
The pillows weren't very comfortable and the rooms were pretty basic (although clean).

We booked a family room and on arrival was told it was not available and had to be split up into two rooms. The hotel did offer us free parking and a coffee each morning as compensation which was fair enough, but then at check out tried to make us pay again and attempted to charge us city tax for the additional room. They eventually realised this was not acceptable and waiver it. Other than this no other faults.

The breakfast was nice, had a lot to choose from. Rooms were clean and warm, the staff helpfull. The bus stop was 5 min walk (the one in the fron of the hotel was closed for road works) to reache the subway for the centre.
The pool water was cold. The rooms could be modernized, especially the bathrooms.
