For me, the room was small. It was ok and had most everything except I missed a hot water heater for tee. I also did not like the cooking of the restaurant.

Nice hotel. Didn't use any of the amenities, but the room was nice enough and it was easy to get to.
Room could use a little better vacuuming in the corners, otherwise it was clean.

Great breakfast, very good location, very quiet although the hotel was quite full because of a fair in Essen.
There was a constant dropping of a rain drop on the window sill. It didn't prevent us from falling asleep, but it could clearly be heard. We should have told reception. People might find this annoying.

We chose the hotel because of spa facilities. It really nice to have sauna after a day of travel, and nice big pool.
The water in pool was quite cold for the little one who was not allowed to warm up in sauna.

Staff excellent, breakfast plenty, ok quality. Plenty of parking, near to centre. We did not try leisure facilities or pool.
