Very Good
Very functional but good hotel - no frills but good location and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good for a 3* hotel. Rooms are simple and beds not luxurious, but all very good for the rating.
In hotel wifi, not great, used my phone's personal hotspot a number of times.

they were very rude. they had overbooked us and told us to walk through the rain for 10 minutes with a small child to get to another hotel they booked for us and we got a smaller room then requested and we had to pay for parking which was supposed to be free. They were very rude in telling us how. the place from what we saw looked very rundown

Nice big room. Lots of space. Clean and comfortable. Free parking.
breakfast quite expensive. Located fairly centrally but at a very busy road interchange.

The hotel is close to the city centre and has parking.
The quartier where the hotel is located is a bit shady. Also, the very old mirror in our bathroom broke during the night (they were kind enough to come right upstairs and settle it and offer us a coffee). The furniture is all old and outdated.

Very customer friendly. I got free public transport in the region, breakfast till 10am on weekdays and 11am of weekends, and a universal adapter that I could borrow.
I was having a bit of trouble doing video calls with the wifi.

It was very clean, the room was very big, it was quiet, the staff was friendly and accommodated our request for separate invoices.
The neighbourhood where the hotel is located is very unpleasant. Many homeless people, very dark and made use feel very unsafe. I would recommend staying there only if one has some sort of business/meetings at the University - it is less than 4 minutes away! For a touristic stay, I would definitely not recommend going to this part of Essen.

Location is good to close to old town.
There weren’t enough towels from check in.
After I requested, they understood the situation then served extra for remain persons.
The elevator didn’t work from24:00-7:00 as announced, but it didn’t work after 7:00.
It started to work from 7:30.
