Distance from the central station
It was not clean. There was only one card for every room!
I have a douple room booked but it was so small!

The location of this hotel is very good. It is close to the train station and Lidl. The rooms were mostly clean, except some dust on the table.
I stayed two times in the hotel. In the first place I've received a room at the first floor, which was very good, but second time I was offered a room at the last floor, which had a bad smell. I've requested another one, and I received a room where the bad smell was only in the bathroom. At least in the room was ok.

I wanted a hotel near the main station to sleep for one night. I am very happy with this choice. Nice hotel, good price, good customer service and very good beds. I appreciated the free fruits at the reception and tea in the room as a nice welcoming gesture.

Centrally located downtown with easy access to the autobahn. Comfortable and efficiently sized room for spending the night between day trips. Be aware the room is pretty small but it's just fine for a short stay when traveling to other cities nearby.
The shower drain was pretty slow and more lighting in the bathroom would have been nice.

Just what I needed for one night in Essen. Has stayed before so it was an easy choice to pick again. The very nice young man at reception even let me check in early when I came around in the morning to ask about luggage storage. Much appreciated. I always travel with ear plugs so as the room was towards the street put them in and had a nice nights sleep. Comfortable bed.
