Hotel Wilna is a charming retreat nestled in the heart of Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia. I found my stay to be quite comfortable, with my room offering generous space that allowed me to relax fully. The bed, typical for German hotels, provided an excellent night’s rest, ensuring I woke up refreshed and ready to explore. Breakfast was truly outstanding! Though it featured the usual continental fare, everything was fresh and delicious, serving as the perfect fuel for my day. I especially appreciated the quality and variety, which exceeded my expectations. The staff deserves special mention; they were welcoming and genuinely friendly. From the moment I arrived, I felt like an honored guest, almost as if I were returning to visit a good friend after a long absence. As they say, "Ein guter Freund ist besser als das beste Geld" – a good friend is better than the best money! Their kindness made my experience feel like a cozy "Kaffeeklatsch," where I wasn’t just a guest but part of a delightful community.
I did encounter a couple of minor inconveniences during my stay. The bathroom featured a small 1m² shower stall, which felt a bit cramped, especially for anyone who values extra space. Additionally, the elevator only stops on every other floor, meaning if you're on an 'in-between' floor, you'll have to navigate a flight of stairs with your luggage. While this wasn’t a significant issue, it could pose a challenge for guests with heavy bags or mobility concerns.

Free parking on site. Location, despite being far from the city center, had a tram stop directly in front of the building so only 20 minutes to center. Rooms on high floors so good views. Bar/restaurant on ground level. Dog allowed.
Staff was not overly friendly, English not great. Its definitely low frills. You get a token to get a "free" water. Bed was rather uncomfortable. I would say seemed expensive for whay you get. 240 eur for 2 nights, solo.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. They helped us with taxis and most of them spoke english! Very clean facilities. The Breakfast was much more than we expected. Very nice experience
My travel companion is elderly and had the walk up two short flights of steps to get into our room.
