Nice breakfast buffet. Quiet location, lots of free parking close to entrance. Good dinners and excellent service. Very friendly, helpful staff.
Weak and no internet connection to the room during entire stay. No air conditioning, room got really hot. Single beds a bit small.

Wonderful
The staff was always very nice. I don't speak DE, so everybody tried to speak EN with me. The room size was good. Parking always available. The food in the restaurant was quite good.
There is no AC.

The staff were generally polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was simple but good. The location was generally quiet.
Nice simple Spa facilities which were the reason I booked here, but sadly this was of very little use to us on this visit due to very restricted availability, making it poor value for money! Very loud music from noisy event went on till early hours across from the back of the hotel on the Friday night only, otherwise quiet. I booked this hotel especially for convenient distance and the Spa, for a complicated rearranged wedding for our son to his German fiance. Four of us stayed with him as a family. However both saunas had brief and varied opening times including 2 days scheduled to be closed that week. The only day they were due to open in the morning was at 11am on the Sat of the wedding which was too late for us that day. We were told by a young lady on arriving on the Wed that the pool wasn't open till the weekend, when our son would be leaving. Thankfully the next day a helpful gentleman said we could use the pool any time. We were unable to catch the saunas at all due to the limited opening, which frustratingly included opening in the afternoon on the Sunday (when our son had left) despite stating it would be closed that day - so it was opening as we were leaving the hotel for plans which could have been shifted to fit it in had we known. The final straw for the Spa facilities was on our last morning when we were denied access to the pool (sauna again not yet open) after breakfast despite it only being 10.20 and check out not due till 11am. We had planned a final quick swim before leaving. Athough I had guessed we may not be able to use the facilities after check out time, as we have always been able to in the UK, we were shocked and really disappointed that we were not allowed this final dip despite other guests being in the pool and us still having over half an hour before our check out! We are not a family who usually complain, but I'm sad to say with so few guests to look after in particular you let yourself down on this occasion Viva Brockel!
