Definitely the rip off price, the noise in the bar spilling over in the corridors, the less than average reception at checkin and out.

I recently stayed at Where Tom Düsseldorf and unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations. The initial room we were given was extremely small and, more importantly, not clean. This was disappointing, especially considering the hotel’s claimed standard.
After raising the issue with the staff, we were offered another room, which was an improvement. I do appreciate that the team responded and resolved the situation relatively quickly.
That said, overall this is a very basic hotel. It may be suitable for a short overnight stay, for example if you need a place to sleep before a flight, but it certainly does not live up to a 4-star rating in terms of comfort, cleanliness, or overall experience.
In summary: acceptable for a quick stopover, but expectations should be adjusted accordingly.
