Impressive, historic building. The room was great, very comfortable bed and everything provided. Minutes to restaurants and bars. Outstanding breakfast buffet and cooked options the best we’ve had in a long time. Great staff at breakfast, so nice and helpful. The whole morning staff was so great, helpful with our luggage, we really appreciated that the two young women and manager went above and beyond. The facilities were great.
The TV in the bedroom didn’t work properly, it kept losing the picture and/or turning off. They have multiple restaurants on site but nothing was open on Sunday night and no room service then either. The service on Sunday, especially that night, was very poor. The front desk didn’t answer the phone for an extended period. When they did they were very abrupt and hung up. We didn’t get any info about the area when we checked in or even told that things like how to use the heating controls were on the TV. No room service info - no menu or hours available. The staff needs to be better trained for a hotel at this level.

The location is absolutely amazing. Rooms are spacious well decorated. Bar is a must lovely cocktail
My main concern is lack of honesty to cover up a very serious security and safety issue. I believe if this got out to authorities the hotel would have been in serious issues. We have booked 2 rooms 205 and 207 for 3 nights. On the 12th of December we were getting ready to head out for a walk and we started smelling smoke. I could tell it was something to do with electricity due to a specific smell taking into consideration I am in the construction business. Came out to the hallway to see smoke started to build up immediately told my kids to get out of the hotel then rushed to the elevator section overlooking the lobby and notified 2 employees at the front desk a lady and a young gentleman. They ran up we started walking around opening rooms and checking where the smoke was coming from but I could tell it's not from a room it's between the ceiling and gypsum board. The main concern is the fire
