Initially, the lack of air conditioning and having just a traditional fan can be tolerated, even though 34°C in summer is quite uncomfortable. However, what is truly unacceptable is the lack of security.
At 3:00 AM, someone came, knocked loudly on the doors, made noise, and then left. When we spoke with the front desk in the morning, their only response was, “We don’t know who comes in or out.”
Now imagine if someone forgets to lock their door — what could happen then? This is something I’ve never experienced in 20 years of traveling around the world.
The staff is generally polite and helpful, but the security issue needs to be taken seriously.

Front desk was friendly, proactive and helpful with every interaction. Very clean. Comfortable beds & perfect pillows! Loved the older hotel look & atmosphere but with modern amenities. A nice change from the cookie cutter chains.

- Breakfast was good. Breakfast room staff very kind and helpful.
- Bed comfortable
- Plenty of hot water for the shower. There was even a bathtub! Nice!
- The front staff person was helpful and very polite.
- The owner suggested an Italian resto (Portofino) which had good prices and good food. The resto is about 10 minutes walk away.
A perfectly suitable hotel at a fair price.

Stayed here early April for 3 nights. First thing was immediately upgraded to a "corner" room. Large, lots of windows, coffee table/chairs in window recessed, sofa, lots of storage. Bath with (great) shower. This is s a family run hotel and all staff very friendly and welcoming, especially the lady owner.
Hotel is situated next to Little Tokyo and a choice of Asian restaurants to die for, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, list goes on. Far enough away from old town to avoid noise, but 10-15 minute walk if you really want some Currywurst?
No hesitation returning to this hotel when next in Dusseldorf.

Great location, walkable to HBF (10 minutes or so) and near some great restaurants and coffee shops. Very clean rooms and great sized for a solo traveler..full sized bed, good sized bathroom.
Nothing but I do sense that staying here in the summer might be tough due to no air conditioning. They are very upfront about it..I stayed in April so no issues.

This is my second stay here, still a highly recommended place to stay in if you visit Dusseldorf. A very kind free of charge early check in. Thanks to the wonderful ataff. A clean en suite room equipped with all facilities as described. Excellent location close to HBF, still they are doing the 5€ daily ticket you can purchase from the reception which covers Dusseldorf transport as well as several close cities. I shall give 10 rating as I did last time
Only the bed is making noises when rolling over which is not a nice experience especially for light sleepers. Please chech the bed & mattress in (room 29)

Centrally located only a few minutes walk from the central railway station and the Old Town. Clean and spacious room with good sound-proofing and plenty of storage space. Wifi and lift available. Buffet breakfast
