Poor
SAs we stayed in a Junior Suite this time, access to the Sky Spa was included, allowing us to refresh ourselves in the sauna almost every day.
The facilities are severely outdated. The room we stayed in this time had no air conditioning. Even after contacting the front desk, no technician came. In the end, I had them bring two oil heaters to endure the cold. Additionally, for some reason, the lights couldn't be completely turned off. Turning one off caused the opposite light to turn on. Since no technician came for this issue either, it remained unresolved until the end.

The towel & pillow not soft & uncomfortable. The coffee machine in my room is not working .

Poor
The Hotel had excellent quality overall. Good location. Spacious and comfortable room.
My family was refused dinner service 10min before the official last order time, despite it being clearly communicated in flyers and official materials. The staff member was rude and dismissive, stating the kitchen was no longer preparing meals, which contradicted the stated policy.

location close to Dusseldorf Hbf and to the Old town
The room is not refreshed / cleaned everyday. Towels are worn out.
The breakfast is terrible, in the 2 times that I was there i did not even see the bacon.
The bread can be better off.

Disappointing
I want to love this hotel. It has gone downhill since the change to Clayton (I stayed when it was the Nikko and twice after it changed to Clayton.). The top floor pool is amazing, super hot steam room - **but note these are closed 11 AM to 5 PM during the week**. There have been lots of upgrades. I think it is good for conferences or sports teams but can't recommend it for people visiting Dusseldorf as tourists. Especially English-speaking.
1. 50% of people using the elevators couldn't figure out how to get to their room. Need better signage.
2. The room keys and keys to the spa took at least 4 tries to get to work.
3. Housekeeping is a disaster. The most bizarre experience I've ever had. While I appreciate booking in early, room 614 had a shattered glass panel, which would have caused cuts to our feet if we’d brushed up against it. There was also visible blood on the carpet. It was great to move to 814, but it took 3 tries to get keys that worked for that room and another 3 tries to get keys that also worked for the spa. Whoever stayed there last must have taken everything because there were only 2 hand towels, 5 hangers, no Do Not Disturb sign, no bathrobes. I managed, through several trips to the front desk to get towels and robes (no one answered the phone) and asked that a DND sign be delivered. Upon arriving back at the room at 4:30 it hadn’t been cleaned, so once again to the front desk to request this. The phone either wasn't answered or didn't work. Someone showed up but I asked them to come back 10 minutes later as we were rushing to leave for an appointment. Then arrived back at 6:30 PM, room not cleaned, no one anwering phone and of course, no do not disturb sign. Back to front desk. I ended up taking one from another door (Sorry). They offered to move me to a 3rd room, but we were unpacked.
4. As noted, the spa is NOT open 11 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. I went up at 7:05 for an early morning swim and couldn't get in (the key worked, but the door was locked from the inside and answer)..
5. There is no body lotion in the room or in the spa and not for sale - something after soaking in a steam room, you would expect. Went out to buy some because our skin was parched.
The floor manager did speak to me, but I would have expected a reduction, honestly.

Very Good
The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk from the main train station. The Executive Room was massive. Floor to ceiling full width window. Excellent TV channel selection. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a bathtub. The breakfast area was next to the Executive wing. Lifts were very security focused. There was a small Sauna and steam room and a top floor pool with stunning views of Düsseldorf.
The in-room coffee machine didn't work for some reason it couldn't puncher the pod.. The shower area next to the sauna and steam room have a pungent smell. My room key card wouldn't work. Breakfast wasn't the best if you wanted more of a full English style breakfast. I can only recall seeing cold sausages not even near to where the hot buffet breakfast items were. To get into the spa/pool area you needed a key card which wasn't explained to me when checking in.

Very Poor
breakfast
This was by far the worst hotel experience of my life. We called the police twice because we did not feel safe. Hotel management could not care less, I wonder what would have happened if any guests were injured by the aggressive people roaming the hotel. We first complained about the noise to reception at 11:30 PM, and it continued all night until we just couldn't take it anymore and checked out at 5AM. Cigarettes and marijuana smell throughout the hallway, some guy following me around, trash everywhere. Stay away from this place, as I believe it is a threat to people’s safety and the hotel staff couldn't care less.

Space was nice, staff was quick with check in. The pool was great, and location is in the middle of little Tokyo.
The lift is slow and cumbersome to use
