Clean and efficient facility. The front desk lady with long hair is very friendly but the hotel policy is not accommodating or clear. For example, only clean the room every two days.
a. The room size is not the same as shown on the photo, or described. Their excuse is "the room are all different fitting as we are boutique hotel". But "boutique" does not give anyone the excuse to lie about the real room sizes! b. At the entrance there are high stairs, and the elevator is sometimes blocked by the hotel staff to transport lines.

The staff was friendly. Room was spacious.
Bathroom was worn down. Bed was horrible. Two twin beds pushed together with separate mattresses, made it impossible to sleep next to each other. I kept “falling” between the two beds. No mini bar - defined was missed.

Exceptional
The hotel is in a great location,- close to city center (10-15min walk). The staff was very lovely and helpful! There is an elevator in the building, so need to walk through stairs. And the breakfast offered a very tasty coffee made to order. Overall a great stay! ✨
The only thing is that the blankets were extremely warm so we ended up sweating the whole night.

I've got the corner room on the second floor, which was small, but good, clean, and quiet -- well comfortable for staying for one night. In a walking distance to the city center (like 15 mins or so), and even with a water bottle downstairs for free. That still leaves a feeling that the room is too expensive, but it could also be related to the fact that during the pre-Christmas holidays the prices are always too high. BUUUT.. (see below)
Few days before the check-in, I've got a message from the hotel right in Booking.com, written in German, that if I don't fill up the form within 8 hours, my reservation will be cancelled. Unfortunately, this becomes a normal practice for many hotels (not only in Germany) that you still have to fill up something before arrival, despite Booking.com already has most of the necessary data, so I clicked the link. By the link I've seen my reservation dates, my full name, and the amount, with a few more fields to fill up (email, phone number, and credit card number for a mandatory deposit). Since my data was there already, I was confident enough thinking that I'm still on the page provided by the hotel, so I filled it up and proceeded. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a phishing link and the account of the hotel was compromised, so the hackers sent the phishing link from their behalf to the customers. This caused me quite some efforts to recreate a new credit card, but other data has leaked forever I'm afraid. I thought that the hotel (at least) could offer a goodwill gesture to help restore my confidence as a guest with (for example) a complementary breakfast or another form of compensation, but they just ignored me and my complains. There was no reaction from Booking.com either. The funny thing is that a day before arrival they sent another link for Online Check-in (like "to speed up formalities") expecting me that I'll forget the previous story and will do it for them. NOT ANYMORE! So the lesson learned from this story: 1) even online check-in forms sent by a hotel inside the Booking.com messenger may still be compromised and personally I decided to ignore all online check-ins for all hotels in future. 2) Booking.com has no functionality to check the links provided by the hotels for potential phishing or viruses (they definitely need to work on that!

The location was good. You could reach to Schadowstraße with 10 mins of walking
There were 2 little bugs in the room. The stuff was mainly kind and helpful, except for the lady with glasses. When i had to talk to her a few times, her behaviour was not kind

The exceptionally warm welcome from the reception team. We were even given an unplanned upgrade to an apartment with an amazing view of the cathedral. It made our stay feel especially memorable.
