The owner and operator was very kind and kept the room very clean. The inside was quiet despite being next to a street. The little interior garden was peaceful and had comfortable chairs.
Toilet was in a separate room than the shower. I would always go towards the shower when I needed to use the toilet and then realize what I was doing and turn around and finally get to my final destination.

Location was close to everything. Very friendly welcome by staff member. She really tried to make you as comfortable as possible. Very clean. Super shower. Comfy chairs. Comfy bed. Made effort for breakfast. Reasonable price.
At rather loud street, so windows open not really helpful but room was rather warm despite heating off. Room next to reception, bit loud in the afternoon with doorbell going, at night fine. My room facing the street on the ground floor, so curtains closed...Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Lots of mortadella and cheese but only the one sort each. No water or juices or eggs, one sort of packed bread. But for the price absolutely adequate. Six euros. You have to reserve the breakfast and help yourself in the morning which was fine.

The hotel is under construction so need to be cleaned outside to avoid the dust come into the floor of the room. Noises every day in the morning. Everyday once we come back the room, the floor very very dirty with a lot of dust. Hope the hotel can pay attention to cleaning everyday as my room is next to the construction site.

Location is OK, close to centre.
We arrived at the hotel, it was raining, the door was locked! We rang at the door, nobody answered. We called the number pasted on the wall, nobody answered. Searched on booking, found another phone number. Answered someone who did not speak English, but opened the door. She did not speak German, too. The room was not prepared. We had to wait few minutes, she left, we remained with a pair which prepared our room. He spoke English. That was all, we did not see anybody for the next two mornings. It was not reception during the day. The room was not clean (pictures available). Not nice memory.

Wonderful
It was very clean.
We did not get a 3-bed room, but instead it was solved fast and got 2 rooms next to one another: a double and a single one.
There is a parking garage 2 streets behind.
The neighbourhood was a little “strange”.

Overall stay was nice, price was great and location very, very nice with many restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Public transportation really close by. Only 3 min away to a Rewe that closes at 00:00. Very convenient.
Accommodation was overall clean.
We didn’t see the staff most of the days. Some days the room didn’t get cleaned. Toilet paper only got replaced one day, had to buy some because there was no guarantee the room would be cleaned. We also run out of soap and it didn’t get refilled in our whole 6 days stay.

Pleasant
The hotel was clean, relatively comfortable, and affordable. No frills or special facilities, just a nice place to keep your stuff and rest your head. Breakfast was included, but was basic. Close to a couple of restaurants, and a petrol station if you need food. Within walking distance of train station. Reliable, fast wifi connection. Staff were friendly.
Only one light in the room so it was a little dark. Double bed is just two single beds pushed together, and a separate blanket each. Elevator is very small (will fit one person with a bag at a time). Bathroom is on the smaller side, but had decent water pressure.

We had a great stay at the hotel. The lady that checked us in was very sweet and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.
Location is great too, walking distance to a lot of things you want to see in Düsseldorf.

We were in Düsseldorf for the Kristkindlmarkt, staying from Friday evening through Sunday morning. Hotel "Am Ehrenhof" offered affordable rates, despite being close to the Aldstadt / city center.
Breakfast is not included with your stay; you will need to pay additional per person. In our case €9 per person. Breakfast was of good quality: very freshly baked bread, a charcuterie selection, yogurts and breakfast grains. No full continental, which is perfect for us.
The hotel does NOT have its own parking. There are a few parking garages close by. B+B Parking is the closest, and a Park One is about 15-20 minutes walking.
There is no manned front desk, the hotel is small and intimate. We had a language barrier with the on-site host (who spoke little German or English), but we managed just fine. They were the friendliest folks we've met in Düsseldorf! :)
Our room was perfectly suited for two adults traveling with a teenager. Room 16 actually consists of two rooms, with an adjoining bath room. One bedroom has a double bed, the other a single bed. This offered our teenager privacy. Both rooms looked a bit old fashioned, but they were very clean and the amenities were good! Both rooms had a wash basin and the bathroom with shower looked modern.
We were only there for a short while, so we didn't find many restaurants. There's a handful within walking distance. On Nordstraße you will also find a Réwé supermarket.
The city center is about 30 minutes walking from the hotel. You will find both a subway (U-bahn) and a streetcar (Strassenbahn) stop within 2 minutes walking on Nordstraße. With either of those, it's only a few short minutes ride into the center.
Honestly, nothing.
Even the language barrier with the staff (who spoke little German or English) was not a problem, thanks to translation apps, friendly smiles, and a mix of three languages.
It was hard to find a nice restaurant in the direct vicinity, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Very helpful gentleman at reception. Martin if I’m right. He has helped me to get to the hotel, as I’ve never been in Dusseldorf nor I speak any German.
Great location - few minutes walk to the Old Town
Nordstrasse underground stop nearby
Bathroom could be cleaner - limescale on the shower door and shower tap hasn’t been removed for a while.
Very comfy mattress but the pillow could be better quality.
Bedroom needs some uplift as it’s straight from 90s’
