I booked the Uebach hotel but it appeared to be closed till Sep so I was offered another one - Esplanada (so, the review refers not to Uebach but Esplanada). The personnel was very friendly. The room was clean and tidy and the cleaning lady was super diligent.
I booked an 18 sqm rooms but at the end it was a very small one (maybe around 10 sqm). The hotel (Esplanada) is situated right in front of the children playground, so it was always loud during the day. At night it was OK.

Wonderful
It was a very nice experience, super-friendly and collaborative staff. I appreciate the treatment and attitude, especially during the hard times of the Pandemic that we are all surviving now. Will certainly recommend the hotel to other travelers, and will gladly stay again once in Dusseldorf.
Only the Pandemic, which is not related to the hotel, but to the general situation. It was sad not to have breakfast, however I realize it is a necessary safety measure.

Location is withing walking distance to trains, restaurants, and shopping.
Bookings.com mistakenly says that breakfast is included in room rates. At checkout, I was surprised by a charge for breakfast for every day of my stay. Had I known, I would have taken this into account

I liked it. Especially in the reception, there was klaus, he was very welcoming, made me a hot cup of coffee while registering my stay. The room was cleaning, quality price ratio sounds good to me

Very reasonable and comfortable hotel in midtown Dusseldorf. Special mention : I had a problem getting back into the nearby parking garage which was closed on Sunday (although you were able to exit your car). The reception manager kindly came with me to help and found a way to get in. (the night door lock was broken) It took him 10 minutes of his time and I was able to retrieve my car.
The hotel is known for having Japanese food available in the breakfast buffet. Quite a good selection (as breakfast), but only issue was that the rice was not cooked very well. As it is an electric cooker, the only problem must be the preparation (washing) of the rice and amount of water added prior to cooking, and also forgetting to "churn around / aerate" the rice just after finishing cooking. This could make a great improvement!!
