Location was perfect - a short walk to all the restaurants, UBahn also very close.
Shower in the bath - prefer a separate shower. But that just an observation.

I stay often at Das Carls when attending meetings, the location is easy to get to, nice lobby area, good breakfast, kind staff.
The amenities in the room are minimal, bathroom and showers need an upgrade.

Double bed was two beds next to each other with gap of the two matresses in the middle.

It's right on the edge of the pedestrian zone, where one can find multiple restaurants and cafes. The restaurants offer a variety of culinary arts, one is not limited to German cuisine. My room was small, but adequate for an overnight. In a longer stay I would need a larger room
Off-street parking is very expensive, although the hotel does have a discount. My first room faced a side street, which fortunately had not a lot of traffic to keep me awake. No AC, and only one elevator, and I was forced to use the stairwell. Fortunately, I was only one floor up.
