Honestly, I did not enjoy my experience at all. The lady at the reception did not speak English and made no effort to communicate or assist properly. She seemed only interested in processing my credit card payment, which gave a very poor impression of the service.
Honestly, I did not enjoy my experience at all. I rang the doorbell for quite a while, but there was no response. There was a note on the door saying “out but reachable at this number.” I called the number, and it rang, but no one answered at first.
When I finally reached her on the phone, she was very unpleasant and unhelpful. The lady at the reception did not speak English and made no effort to communicate or assist properly. She seemed only interested in processing my credit card payment, which gave a very poor impression of the service.
I strongly do not recommend this place.

Where do we start?! The hallway and rooms smelt of stale smoke, the rooms were not clean and do not look anything like they are advertised as. The bathroom was unclean and smelt unpleasant. There was a smoke alarm in a drawer with no batteries which supports that people had been smoking previously in the room as well as the cigarette burn marks on the surfaces. When we arrived there was rubbish from previous people who had stayed in the room. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and squeaky. We have stayed in other hostels throughout our inter-railing trip and this is the worst! I would not stay here again and urge anyone else not to book here!

I needed a printout of a ticket and the receptionist next morning was kind and helpful and printed it.
In the first room the tv was not working and nobody knew why. The friendly lady at reception finally had to call her "boss" and then could change the room for me. Both rooms are extremely small, around 8 - 9 m² only, each with two beds! And only 2 power outlets. In the second room there was a fridge, but not connected. In the shower the glassdoors were loose, you have to be VERY careful not to unhinge and break them.
Location at a very nosy street and the windows are NOT soundproof at all. I never tried the elevator, because it does not look reliable.

1. The bathroom was weirdly outside of the room at the end of the hallway although it was only ours that was really uncomfortable and inconvenient (got knocked on by strangers)
2. The internet and TV did not work at all!!!
3. You could hear EVERYTHING through the walls (at our stay there, the people staying at our same floor where really loud and kept walking around the hallway)
4. Some people were trying to walk into our room at 2 am
5. Felt really unsafe and the staff did nothing about it
6. Wanted to leave early because of the horrible experience and after explaining the reasons, I was still denied a refund for the night we did not stay anymore

Location, near Hauptbahnhof
Bed linen and towels not supplied. Receptionist was about 14 years old and didn't have much idea what he was doing.
Decor very faded and dated.
The person I spoke to when leaving was very surly and dismissive of my concerns.
