My booking was confirmed by booking.com but I got a phone call from the Hotel and the told me that because of a technical problem I got a room in the Hotel. But the Hotel was already fully booked.
The hotel sent me a massage that my booking was cancelled because of the check in time but this is not true. ( I wanted to extend the check out and did not talk about check in, and was open to keep everything as is when not possible)
Maybe the price on booking was less that the price for in person customers so they wanted to keep the room for other in person custemrs
Booking.com has never showed me a full booked hotel without giving a note about that. It always shows (one room or two rooms left with this price or fully booked on booking.com) and in my case there were rooms left on booking.com when I reserved my room.
Anyway my experience with this hotel was bad and I had to book another hotel last minute the same day of travel also.

Location good for public transport into Dusseldorf.
Couldn't have the windows open as facing the street during night due to trams & emergency vehicles using sirens. No air conditioning, though a fan was available.
