The room was a good size, the kitchen area had all the basics, and the windows were large so there was lots of natural light. Everything was clean.
The room had full carpeting. I do not like this.

Very nice location in the old city center, very quiet, but with lots of shops and restaurant in walking distance. The appartment was spacious and comfortable.
The garage was very narrow, so I recommend it for experienced drivers only. In the bathroom was no mirror, the mirror was outside the bathroom over a larger lavabo, but there was no power plug. so you could not use the hair dryer while looking in a mirror. Must have been designed by a man.

perfect location in a quiet street and walk distance from everything.
Garden view room do not offer anything extra. Rooms are not sound proof and it is not nice been woken up in the middle of the night by drunk people ringing doorbell or doors. I guess this is guest dependent.

Very helpful staff, comfortable bed, clean rooms, ideal location for staying in Dusseldorf center. Everything is within walking proximity. Very nice property in general.
The parking space is very narrow for big cars and it is a haste to park in and out of the building. We stayed in room 34 we had to walk up the flight of stairs (more than 40 in total) with 3 heavy luggages and there was no elevator or anyone to assist with the luggage transfer.

Perfect location, very comfortable rooms and friendly personal. Don't understand why some people complain about lack of elevator, there is one...
Wifi was a bit weak in some areas, but not big drama. Also some smell from sewage, but this is due to age of the building, nothing that can not be solved

The location is hard to beat, it has Carlsplatz with all the grocery needs right there and a short walk to Königsallee and good shops, both conventional and luxurious, within 10 minutes' walk. During the Christmas season, all the markets are also very close. We like that the room was spacious, and we had a bathtub. However, this is an old building, and one has to realise that the room you will be booking will differ massively from the website - each room is unique. DO make inquries before doing any non-refundable booking so there are no surprises. The hotel offered the possibility to check different rooms (had to happen duing their office hours) as we were initally hesitating to stay just in one room, and provided needed assistance. We also were given a room nicely connected by elevator with the parking lot, which helped a lot with our heavy luggage. Also, most mundane issues were quickly negotiated and hotel staff addressed them.
This feedback is shared with the intention of improving the overall service and clarity for future guests, not as a form of retaliation. The issue itself was resolved effectively, but clearer communication and a more transparent handling of such situations would greatly improve the experience. The most mixed feelings I had were related to an electricity issue in the room. Early in the morning, after using a hair dryer, the power went out completely. Flipping the switches did not help. Fearing that food would spoil and assuming it might be a more serious electrical problem, I called the numbers listed at reception as “urgent”. No one answered, and I also sent messages. After spending a couple of hours trying to understand what to do and settling the initial anxiety, I went back to bed. The hotel manager fixed the issue around 10:20 the same day and later told me that he did not appreciate waking up to my calls, stating that a room going dark "is not an emergency" and that I should have waited until 10:00, when reception opens. He however, made the effort to investigate the issue early in the morning and resolved it. We were without electricity for roughly four hours, during which the food in the fridge spoiled and had to be thrown away. Given the price level of the hotel (about €1,400 in total with parking), I hoped for a small compensation when settling the bill, but none was offered when I raised the matter. Discounting one or two nights of parking would have felt fair. I would have waited until 10:00 if the hotel had better instructions on when (not) to wait for opening hours with the inquiries. By common sense, having no electricity - especially when traveling with family - can significantly affect the purpose of stay (e.g. need to be online for work). Apart from this, guests with heavy luggage should request a room near the elevator. Parking is available but quite small, so expect tight maneuvering and consider a smaller car.

Good east location to Altstadt and the Weihnachts Markts. Also good location to a bakery just 1 minute walk away and other shops. Easy to check in. Staff was very helpful and looked to address any of our concerns. We really appreciated that.
Kitchen was very small and not enough room to do much. No drying rack for dishes and only 1 towel, although as I didn't find the kitchen towel supplied, had asked for one, which they gladly gave me. There is a problem with the kitchen sink in the apartment we stayed in-#37-there was initially a very bad oder probably because the plumbing is old and the peatrap not done adequately. Alo, paper towels would have been nice in the kitchen. Another thing is that they need more electrical outlets near bed. There was only 1 which the lamp connected to. They did bring us an electrical outlet strip...which was very good.

Great location, clean appartement, all amenities inside, helpful staff, especially the cleaning lady on Sunday morning. Fun color light feature in the bathroom.
We were given a flat at the second floor with no elevator, the stairs were narrow and steep for a toddler and stroller. Quite uncomfortable for a family with kids. The hotel's private parking is extremely tight so we were advised to park in a nearby public parking. It is cumbersome with the luggage, and kids. Heating was off in the evening and we couldn't contract the reception after 18h to ask for a solution. However the heating was on in the morning. The garden door kept opening one floor below and so it was cold on the corridor too.

The apartment was very spacious, felt cozy, and we loved the central location. The kitchenette was great and allowed us to have breakfast in the apartment.
Two small suggestions for improvement: The blanket provided for the person sleeping on the pull-out coach was really thin, so this person felt uncomfortable throughout the night. Plenty of glasses were provided in the kitchenette, however, most were placed on such high shelves that they could not be reached.

Well decorated and nice garden!!!
Nice but not very functional... Like shower is quite "open" splashing part of the bathroom, or a street light going directly to my eyes when trying to sleep becaus curtains did not closed completely... Minor things except... The dishes were not properly clean, some of them had some tomato sauce from previous tenants, or glasses felt like glued to the cupboard for some unknown reason. I washed them and problem solved.
