Pleasant
The location was excellent – right in the middle of the Altstadt, within walking distance of the Rhine and the lively nightlife area. Perfect for a weekend getaway or a night out. Everything is close by: restaurants, bars, and attractions. Highly recommended!
It was very warm due to the outside temperature. My single room had a fan, but unfortunately, my travel companions did not, which was a real shame.
Additionally, my room had very poor water pressure – there was almost no cold water from the tap, which was strange because the hot water pressure was fine. Because of this, the water was too hot to shower, which was quite inconvenient.

Nothing flashy - just simple, solid, and smack in the middle of where the action used to be a few centuries ago. Breakfast? Surprisingly decent - not just the usual dry toast and regret. You roll in, grab a bite, and you’re good to go. Sometimes less is more - and this place gets that.
The window’s a trap. Open it - the street noise keeps you up. Shut it - and there’s no air, stuffy as a basement. Either way, sleep takes a hit.

Good breakfast.
I had a room with my own shower but no toilet; I actually prefer the toilet being separate from the room.
Excellent shower.
The window when shut kept out most of the noise from the street and I was not disturbed in the night by noise.
I would have liked a kettle and DIY coffee/tea tray in the room, like one has in UK hotels. But as this lack is normal for Europe, I cannot make any formal complaint.
Lack of comfortable seating in the room.
I had made a request for gluten free bread for breakfast, but this message had not been received or maybe not passed on or maybe just not acted on. ( As a precaution, I took my own anyway.)

Old-school charm with no frills. The place is simple, clean, and does the job. Breakfast? Surprisingly decent - gets you going. And being right in the historic centre, you step outside and you’re already in the thick of it. Great spot for a proper wander.

The hotel is located in a fantastic location, just two station far from Düsseldorf central station. A lot of restaurants and bars around.
My room was in third floor, with no elevator and smoking forbidden. I had to go down with many stairs and back. Shared toilet also bothered but I knew it while I was booking and no complaints about it.
Last day I requested to buy a coffee but the staff was roughly rejected my request, I said I pay for it but she said No No, you have no breakfast. Other staff were helpful and great.
My mobile had a very poor network and couldn’t connect to my own mobile data but the hotel had a free WiFi. Quality of WiFi in some periods was OK.

The location is really good in the center, so everything for us was close. The room is small but comfortable, it was clean. The breakfast was good. The price was really good for the room.
You can hear the noise from the street (specially in weekends) and the curtains didn’t block the sun.

I stayed one night and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was pretty small but as described, so no surprises. Rather old fashioned but well maintained and clean. Good towels and a confortable bed. There was a private shower and washbasin in the room, and then the toilet was in the corridor, shared with another room. The breakfast was included in the rate and actually pretty good, with a little bit of everything including eggs, ham, fresh fruit... The location is super centric, also very close to the river. In general, a very good value for money.
The inconvinience of being so cental was the noise during the night, as there were many bars and restaurants down the street. It was also a bit bright even during the night, as my window was right next to the illuminated large sign of the hotel.
