The staff were warm and incredibly helpful throughout our stay, and the cleaning team truly went the extra mile. The breakfast was excellent—fresh, varied, and generous. The location couldn’t be better, and our room was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our family of four.
The hotel could really benefit from a renovation. While some updates, like newer furniture, have been made, they don’t fully offset the visible signs of age and wear that have built up over the years. The promotional photos are a bit more polished than the current reality, which might lead to slightly different expectations.

Fabulously appointed hotel throughout, including the bedroom. Superb views of Altstadt and river Elbe from breakfast room as well as from our room.
Breakfast buffet we rate 10/10 for variety and quality.
Very comfortable furnishings and attractive decor in the bedroom.
Walking distance to Neumarkt shopping district and easy tram ride to Altstadt.

The second bathroom in our family room was closed and we learned of this only at check-in
Breakfast was average for this being a grand hotel supposedly
Other than on the website, which shows multiple nice restaurant facilities including terraces, none were open and the only one dining facility was utterly unappealing
In sum, not worth the huge amount we paid

Spacious rooms. Good location, equally close to Neustadt and Altstadt.
The gym is a joke. The pictures are misleading. The gym is literally 10-12 m2, very poorly equipped. The pool is good for sitting around, but not swiming.
