Property is right in the centre of all the main historical sights, making walking from one to the other very easy. The Christmas market right in the square in front of the hotel, was the icing on top as we had a room facing the market.
The housekeeping needs to be looked into. We had a suite so were able to make tea, yet room was cleaned but not the tea cup which was left on the table- clearly visible and therefore table not teacup were cleaned. Dry cleaning in the hotels dry cleaning bag was left in the floor by the door, in exactly the spot I had left it- once again wonder how one cleans the room yet doesn’t move the bag from its spot and doesn’t take the dry cleaning to be done. A hotel of this caliber should not have this happening. Room service is not the greatest and they forgot a bottle of water which I was charged for but after the long wait for a cheese platter, I didn’t have the energy to call and request that it be brought up. So despite a wonderful location, this hotel( unlike others of the brand) needs a bit of work done with its staff to achieve its star rating.

Fantastic location, directly on the square with surrounding historic buildings. Shops, bars and restaurants, public transport and Concert Hall all within walking distance. The hotel itself is lovely: lovely decor, friendly helpful staff, comfortable rooms with very comfortable beds and pillows, good shower with toiletries, small fridge and a Nespresso machine. Great breakfast selection each morning with lovely views over the square. We checked out very early (before breakfast) and were given a packed lunch to take away, which was fantastic for our train journey. We will stay here again without question
Small thing: Being able to cast to the TV in the room would have been good as very limited English speaking channels (BBC News and Sky News) and we didn’t bring our iPads. But apart from that, everything was exceptional

The location is fabulous. The junior suite was spacious, generous and comfortable. In the afternoons sitting down with the windows opening listening to the church bells was amazing. Closing the windows and benefiting from the soundproofing was also amazing!
The staff were lovely but I feel that in such an amazing city some better orientation to what could be done within a 10minute walk would have been appreciated.

This well-located hotel--right by the Frauenkirche in Dresden--is very comfortable and provides spotless, comfortable accommodations. The breakfast offers many options, too. One is in a super place here,
Given the quality of the hotel, the orange juice should be Fresh squeezed and the eggs are bit dried out.

We loved the location —right in the heart of the old town on the main square, with views of the iconic Church of Our Lady and the Martin Luther statue just steps away. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well appointed, though it faced the interior courtyard rather than the square.
Even though the hotel seemed only half full, no upgrade was offered, which was a bit disappointing. We arrived expecting the vibrant, bustling atmosphere I’d experienced at other Steigenberger properties but this hotel felt unusually quiet. Service at the front desk was adequate but not particularly warm or proactive.
