The location, right on the main square.
The service at the bar. Quite often bar staff appear to hide in a room behind the bar making it look like no one is there to serve you. Secondly, for some strange reason, many of the seats in the bar face away form the bar towards reception, so all you see are the heads of the reception staff. One night we asked to sign the bill, and after a long wait we got up told reception we were returning to our room and would sign for our drinks the next day.

Nothing could be better. Well, OK, for U.S. customers, like myself, you could provide washcloths in the bathroom, instead of my having to bring one from home. But - completely optional, really. Thanks

the hotel exceeded all my expectations. Excellent location on the central square, next to Frauenkirsche. All attractions are within walking distance. The staff was attentive to the fact that it was my birthday. An additional bonus is the concert, which could be watched from the hotel window, since the concert takes place on the square opposite the hotel

Excellent location is a major asset
Ugly view from the window of some sad courtyard, crowd of people at breakfast - awful experience , and worst of all - the hotel only informed me of a major sporting event going on in Dresden these days (causing problems with access to the hotel, poor availability of restaurants etc) two days before arrival when I could no longer cancel the booking free of charge. If I had known there would be such a problems in the area I would never have opted for such transit accommodation - where peace, availability of services and convenience are the priority. I think the hotel should give advance notice of the event before changing the booking to non refundable- just as hotels give notice of temporary pool or restaurant closures, for example. The customer has the right to know what they are booking.

The location was great and had private parking under the building.
The room we stayed in was on the top floor, directly under the roof, with small windows.
The person responsible for the breakfast area made the experience unpleasant, as we didn’t feel welcomed.

Great Location. Walk to everything. Good selection of restaurants near by. Loved the large room with views overlooking the square. Great breakfast room. Friendly and helpful front desk team.
Wish that the spa had a jacuzzi or pool that you could use. I believe they had a steam room which was good but really would appreciate some kind of water action.
