We chose this hotel because it advertised private parking. One day before our arrival, we received a message stating that the parking was under renovation. At the reception desk, we were informed that the underground parking was unavailable and that we would need to find a parking spot in the surrounding neighborhood. When we pointed out that parking was listed under the "hotel facilities" section, the staff simply repeated, "Sorry, it's under renovation," and did not offer any further assistance.
Everything else met the expectations of a 4-star hotel.

Location is perfect, breakfast is excellent, view from the window was spectacular .Good idea to have small table in a room.
room could be better: old, spotted furniture; very dirty chairs, shower is the best place to watch TV. It will be nice to have a small fridge in a room

Good sized clean rooms. Well located for railway station and walkable distance to historic old town.
We had a view up Prager Strasse last time we visited and a coffee machine in the room. A view of the railway lines this time and no coffee machine. We were advised this could be remedied by upgrading to a deluxe room for an additional €30 per night. We declined.
It's necessary to navigate a crowd of smokers when entering or exiting the hotel.

Reception staff were nice, room was clean. Functioning Aircon and toilet
I have not been scammed like this since the Philippines, and this is in Dresden, Germany. If you make a mistake via Booking.com and accidentally have 1 person, you will be forced to pay for breakfast for the extra person. Surprisingly we did not enjoy having breakfast for one of us because we didn't want it, but even then the breakfast options were not appealing, especially for the forced €30 fee. Also the breakfast staff, whilst very kind, are focused on cleaning rather than providing service for €30 you paid for breakfast.
