The staff is magnificently attentive -- sincerely friendly and entirely unwilling to let a question go unanswered.
On arrival, I was offered a drink and chose orange juice. Ten seconds later, an attendant appeared at my elbow, glass in hand. That was nice. I arrived before check-in time and left my luggage at the front desk, but they did *not* give me a ticket for it -- instead, they delivered my luggage to my room for me. All of this happens in an atmosphere that says, "of course this is how we treat our guests." It was fun.
I booked through Booking.com, and I picked the lowest-cost, non-refundable room, so I certainly wasn't expecting the best room in the place. As it happens, if room had been further from the front desk it would have been in another hotel and, if it were any smaller, the bathroom would have had to be down the hall.

We had a lovely time with Finn in his wine room. He’s so knowledgeable about his wines, but most importantly, he spent time visiting with us and all the other patrons. He really made us feel at home and cared for. He’s a winner.
