Beautiful castle and view, very green area,
We stayed in the Kavaliers house, the room was clean, coffee machine in the entrance was free of charge

Excellent breakfast but too expensive to my taste.Location was perfect to explore Dresden region, if you don't want to stay in a busy city.Rooms where comfy and clean, good bed.

The location is wonderful and the main hotel building (the castle) is just stunning with the most amazing views. The reception check-in/check-out staff was very nice.
The Annex building in which we stayed is very dated. The cleaning staff came early, knocked on our doors before 9, and were grumpy that they couldn't get in to clean. The sauna/gym was permanently closed. There is no bar at the hotel and only very few serving staff. It took a long while to get drinks from the restaurant, and they shut early. On two of the days, the hotel restaurant and terrace were closed because of a private function, and there was nowhere else to get a drink or food. We booked this hotel to enjoy the beautiful views over the city of Dresden, but didn't get enjoy it much as hoped.

At arrival the receptionist was very pleasant and the view
For a superior four star hotel the soap dispenser at the shower was empty, bug exterminator boxes in conners, no coffee maker, some of the breakfast sausages were dried (old like previous cooked), spiders inside the room, no additional shampoo, but I did not complained about those small issues because my girlfriend and I was happy to be in this beautiful hotel. Now everything changed on Saturday evening at 1000pm because of loud music and people talking, laughing right across the room. I called the receptionist and the the phone rang for about two minutes and no answered. I got dressed and went to the reception desk. It was over 1025pm already with loud music and loud people outside our room. After I arrived at the reception desk the receptionist apologized for not answering the phone because she was talking to a customer. The receptionist apologized for not letting me know of the show outside my room. She also said that the show was supposed to end at 1000pm but it started at 1000pm and it was over at 1045pm. Completely unsatisfactory because I went to bed early because I was traveling back home. Next morning at checkout the receptionists never apologized for the previous night loud music in which is a German law that no loud music after 1000pm, no discount was offered, no voucher, in fact nothing. I asked for a discount or the bad experience of the previous night but I was told by the receptionist and he replied "we don't any". Completely unsatisfactory. Granted is a nice hotel, beautiful garden, awesome view to the city but taking care of a customer was not their intention when they were wrong from the beginning to the end.

No airconditioning or ventilation in the bathroom . Would have appreciated a heads up about the wedding event they were having on the the day of my stay.

Everything was amazing! Wonderful castle, beautiful park and the territory, friendly staff, cleanliness and general comfort were above and beyond, view from the window!
