Very big room, quiet (back side of the building), bathroom with large bathtub, nice breakfast. Bit outdated decoration, but everything was clean and worked well. The location is not very pleasant with a major road just in front, but convenient (just across from train and tram stations).
I really disliked the late check-in time (4pm!). I hadn't noticed during the booking process.

The hotel is located just in 100 meters form the Neustadt train station. Very good connection by tram, S-bahn and intercity trains. Moreover, it is in 15-20 minutes walk from the city center. The hotel features very stylish interior with Art Nouveau elements. Very spacious and cozy room, excellent bed. Very good breakfast. Moderate price.
I really can't mention anything serious. Maybe an old key system, no key card. Old keys with massive bronze key holder which you have to leave at the reception everytime you leave the hotel. But, this is not a big problem at all.

I like the location, the professionalism of the staff and the setup of the whole hotel. I haven't felt that level of professionalism in a long time in hotels or anywhere else. I love ❤️ it!!!!!! I also felt so safe I could sleep with my door opened. They were neat, well mannered and respectful.
I just wish the female staff smiled more; I could sense abit of skepticism and lack of warmth from the female staffs. As soon as they saw that I'm not European....but overall, they kept professionalism intact... At some point, I felt like they switched my internet off so they could come into my room so to inspect because I presume that their skepticism of me not been an European pushed them to that...probably because the female staff that brought the extra duvet to my room smelled the non European aroma of my dinner. I spoke with the male staff about my suspicion and he blamed it on the age of the building. I didn't believe him though but I accepted it. Then they didn't call my room to ask if the internet was back on, ofwhich it wasn't. As I was stepping out of the hotel, I updated the hotel that it's been hours and the internet was still off. Then they offered to go into my room while I was out and I said NO! I told them to please wait until I was back. My suspicion is that they went into my room anyways, inspected and turned the wifi/wlan back on. This I can't prove, it's just a suspicion. THEY REFUSED TO COMMUNICATE IN ENGLISH with me!! Was that intentional or their inability to speak the language?. I guess I'll never know now.:) I'm an English teacher and I'm ready to be of service. But overall, my favorite thus far?..

Wonderful
Lovely hotel with a lot of character and very nice and friendly staff. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Great breakfast buffet with a lot of choices. Location is also great, with 20 minutes walk to the old town.
A small tea/coffee selection and a kettle in the room would be great. We did receive an electric kettle upon request though so not an issue.
