Very Good
Small, but comfortable and cosy rooftop room. Nice location outside the city, green park nearby, big beergarten and restaurant on the first floor. Has parking lot for cars and tram station is near.

The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city which makes staying idyllic and surrounded by nature.
My room was with window into the courtyard so when other guests were outside talking (waiting for the rest of their party) every single word is being heard. If you stay, book a room with anything other than courtyard view.

Location was fine given the efficiency of the train system in Germany. The room was on the small side but that was as advertised. The addition of a coffee maker and mini fridge would have been a bonus.
The amenities were pretty basic but it was clean and the staff were friendly. A little difficult to communicate in English but smart phone technology makes up for that. We didnt know that the breakfast was included (werent told at check in) and didnt find out until checkout.

The area was nice. Accommodation was clean, the shower was hot and full pressure and the room was warm.
I arrived at midnight which was my fault as I had read the arrival time incorrectly and there was no one at reception and no one answered the bell when I rang it numerous times so I had to sleep outside on the cement near the outside dining area until the morning. That was my fault, but when one of the staff members came in to make breakfast at 6am, she saw me outside freezing and still ignored my knocking on the door. Eventually I had to shout for her to open because I was so cold and she was in such a mood that she practically through the keys at me and didn't even show me where my room was. She has short grey/light hair and was German. But besides her rude welcome, my stay was ok. There was a very weird smell in the rooms. Almost like a weird wood polish or something. Not sure what it was. The hotel really is ok for a 3 Star and not priced too badly. I didn't eat any of the food there so I can't comment on the food. I only met the owner on the last day, but she seemed much friendlier than her staff and gave me a warm farewell that softened the cold welcome by her staff member on the first day.
