This hotel is located in the Baroque heart of Dresden, directly opposite the Zwinger Palace. It offers a 24-hour fitness studio. The Holiday Inn Dresden Am Zwinger is a great place to stay in our opinion. It is very close to the Zwinger Palace and park and to the beautiful centre of Dresden. Our room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were cheerful and very helpful. The breakfast was exceptionally good and the hotel's restaurant served a good selection of delicious food in the evening as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dresden.
Water leaked under the shower door but the manager said that this problem is being addressed and the hotel is in the process of replacing all the shower doors.

The hotel is near to the major sights in Dresden. Even though our room faced the street it was very quiet. The room was spacious with a large bathroom. The morning we left to catch an early train they even provided a box lunch for us as we had paid for breakfasts.
In Europe you have to get used to bathroom without wash clothes. I still prefer real bars of soap to the liquid variety.

Location brilliant. Good breakfast selection.
No tea spoon in the bedroom and understand reason for reduced room service however replenishment of tea tray daily and clean mugs would have been nice.
